This is a real picture taken by special telescopes working special rays and we can see a solar storm in the left. and scientists said if this storm arrived to eath will burn everything inside... but the existance of an atmosphere cover oppose to these killer solar storms and disappear them so it works like a "roof" (" saqf" in arabic ) protecting earth from the sun's evil.. and may be we're surpised if we know that the coran mentionned this cover by saying :
in " Surat (21) Al-'Anbya' (The Prophets) : (32)
And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away
